Alexander van Loon  studied at the Wittenberg University in the United States and at Utrecht University where he obtained his masters degree in Biomolecular Sciences in 2005. He acquired research experience at the University Medical Center Utrecht and at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich.

His technical expertise includes biomedical devices and applications, devices and processes relating to plant growth and development, and devices and processes for the food and beverage sector. Alexander particularly assists multinationals in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for food and beverage preparation systems and apparatuses as well as representing clients in EPO opposition cases. Alexander’s clients also include private persons and SME’s in the field of general mechanics, including safety equipment, heating and ventilation systems, and production and packaging lines.
