Joris Goetze studied chemistry (bachelor and master) at Utrecht University. During his master research, he did a research internship at a catalyst company in Amsterdam. In 2018, Joris obtained his PhD at Utrecht University in the group of Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis. During his PhD, he worked on the methanol-to-hydrocarbons process, directed towards the production of hydrocarbons and derived products (such as plastics) from other sources than crude oil.
