Today, partners Herman Witmans and Leo Jessen retire. This marks the end of impressive careers in which they dedicated themselves with great commitment for 36 and 34 years respectively to clients, colleagues, and the development of the patent attorney profession.
Throughout their careers, they guided countless innovations, ranging from everyday consumer products to complex building structures. They also successfully represented clients in a large number of patent litigation cases. Their work was frequently praised by the renowned IP annual guides. Both were members of the management board for many years, and in addition to heading the Arnhem office, Herman also served as Chairman of V.O. from September 2019 to 2025, and as Chairman of the Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys from 2006 to 2010.
