This year, the IP Academy course dates are scheduled for Thursday 13 November for the basic course and Thursday 11 December for the advanced course.
The basic course provides a solid foundation in IP. You will learn about the various forms of IP protection, gain experience in patent research and reading patent claims, and gain insight into procedures relating to infringement, opposition and freedom to operate.
The advanced course builds on this and focuses on trademark opposition, IP strategy, valuation and legal documents such as NDAs and cooperation agreements. Procedures such as due care, restoration of patent rights and steps to be taken in the event of infringement are also covered. New this year is a focus on protection through patents and utility models in Germany.
Dates: 13 November (Basic) and 11 December (Advanced).
Location: V.O. office in The Hague.
Depending on the composition of the group, the courses will be given in Dutch or English.
