V.O. is the main partner of the TU/e Contest (Eindhoven) and the UT Challenge (Twente). These competitions challenge students to develop an innovative idea, business plan, prototype or research project through the TU/e Contest and UT Challenge networks, respectively.
The winners will receive guidance and their own workspace on campus to further develop their invention. V.O. is participating in an IP coach role. The winning projects of the 2016 TU/e Contest were ‘GardenGarten’, an environment in which every household can grow its own fruit and vegetables, and ‘T.E.S.T.’, a mobile platform that allows kidney patients to monitor their own kidney function. The UT Challenge is held for the first time in 2017, and the finals will take place in June.
