This year’s IP Academy was scheduled between 1 and 15 November and saw broad participation from all sectors of our Dutch client database. Whereas in previous years the IP Academy had been held in The Hague, we decided to hold it this time in Utrecht at the Van der Valk hotel, next to our office on Winthontlaan. The advanced course on 15 November was held at out offices. Participants and speakers expressed their satisfaction at the end of the event. Although it was certainly not possible to answer all of the questions asked about IP, the IP Academy was able to successfully raise awareness among participants that IP is part of a company’s major assets and that a well-considered and pro-active attitude towards IP rights contributes greatly to sound company operations.
